Kitchen Remodel

Kitchen Remodel

My total kitchen gut and remodel. The design phase was difficult becuase i had to clear away the old wall, to add insulation into the wall cavity, there originally was none in the whole house so I took the opportunity to add some while I had no cabinets. I had to make a lot of measurements to make sure everythign would fit perfectly. I only had to take off one day of work, and was ablt to knock this out over a total of 4 days (demolition, removal of the wall, putting up the new wall and subfloor, then installation of the insulation, cabinets and electrical).

I also took the opportunity to repaint the whole main floor for a refresh. On day 5 the countertop installers came to measure, and i had to wait 2 weeks for it to be cut and installed. Then i finikitchen it off in little pieces (thigns like backsplash i had to order, and that took a while). To be honest, the most annoying part of this whole build was reusing the original hole i made for the microwave 5 years ago. I got lucky and it was almost totally lined up with where it was supposed to be… almost. I had to build a custom vent piece to connect the microwave through the cabinet.
